Concrete setting acceleration
RELATED MATERIALS
ADINOL-RAPID Broad-use concrete set accelerator – Antifreezing agent
I. NATURE OF THE PROBLEM – REQUIREMENTS
In cases where fast curing and thus achieving high early strengths is essential (anchoring, repairs, etc.), or concrete placing in low temperatures, an accelerating admixture must be used.
II. SOLUTION
ADINOL-RAPID is used for accelerating the setting time of concrete. Certified with the CE marking as concrete set accelerating admixture according to EN 934- 2:T6, certificate number: 0906-CPD- 02412007. It allows concrete placing in low temperatures up to -10 °C. ADINOL-RAPID is not an air-entraining agent, is free of chlorides and other corrosive substances and is suitable to use with all kinds of Portland cements.
III. APPLICATION
Dosage: 1,0-2,0% by weight of cement, depending on the desired reduction of setting time.
ADINOL-RAPID can be added:
- Into the mixing water, during the preparation of concrete.
- Into the ready concrete mix just before placing. In that case, it is necessary to rotate the mixer for 4-5 minutes to achieve uniform dispersion of ADINOL-RAPID in the mix.
IV. REMARKS
- Avoid concrete placing when temperatures lower than -100C are expected in the next 12 hours
- Excessive dosage may decrease final strength of the concrete.
